Judge Wilson Fields threw our case out this morning based on a procedural technicality. The judge basically claimed that we didn't have the right to sue and that the Registrar of Voters does not have to correct his mistakes. The merit of our case was not even allowed into evidence. This is a direct quote from Judge Fields: "Let me show you how we do things in Baton Rouge." We are well aware of how things are done in Baton Rouge.
The merits of the case were never heard. 285 signatures were not counted. Nearly 18,000 voices were temporarily silenced.
